Be able to provide Holistic Massage according to ITEC certification

 

Covers:
a. Anatomy and Physiology
(1)To understand and explain the functions of the functional systems and recognize the symptoms. Causes and effects of diseases and disorders of the functional systems.
(2)The functional systems covered are: skeletal, muscular, skin, cell, circulatory & lymphatic, neurological, endocrine, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive.
 
b. Holistic Massage
(1)Understand methods of consultation, common ailments and contraindications to massage.
(2)Demonstrated the classical massage movements.
(3)Hygiene and first aid.
 
c.Professional Conduct & Business Awareness

Geriatric massage, also known as elderly massage, is a gentle massage designed to specifically treat the needs of seniors. This form of massage therapy can be used in an elderly care programs to decrease symptoms of some commonly diseases found in the elderly population
