Objective

Geriatric massage, also known as elderly massage, is a gentle massage designed to specifically treat the needs of seniors. This form of massage therapy can be used in an elderly care programs to decrease symptoms of some commonly diseases found in the elderly population.

Coverage

1. History and basic manipulations of Traditional Chinese Massage – 12 hours
2. The principles of Traditional Chinese Massage – 6 hours
3. Precautions, contraindications and after treatment care management of Traditional Chinese Massage – 6 hours
4. Prevention and treatment of common diseases among the elderly  and elderly health maintenance – 36 hours

Attention: It is recommended that learners take up our Certificate in Elderly Care and Certificate in Therapeutic Modalities in Rehabilitation as a complete package in order to be fully equipped for the rehabilitation and daily living of the elderly.
