COURSE OBJECTIVE

To equip trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform a Professional Lymphatic Drainage Massage. It is a medically recognised massage using very light pumping or rotational technique to relieve the body of water retension, improves blood circulation and immune system.

Part 1: Lymphatic Drainage Massage

• Structure and functions of lymphatic system
• Formation, composition of lymph
• Location of main lymph nodes, arteries, veins on head and neck
• Interrelationship between blood and lymph
• Effects and benefits of lymphatic drainage
• Methods of consultation, common ailments and contraindication
• Lymphatic drainage movements
• Effects of lymphatic drainage massage, client care
• Evaluate and review treatment, importance of home care advice after treatment

Part 2: Lymphatic Drainage Massage case studies

• 3 clients to be treated 3 times each and outcome recorded
