Objective:

This course will equip trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply traditional Chinese diet/nutrition in post natal & infantcare & integrate the knowledge of human anatomy, and skills of post-natal and child massage for post natal health and disease prevention of maternal health. Trainees should have knowledge of Basic TCM Theory such as the Theory of Yin-Yang, The Theory of 5 Elements, The Zang Orgains, The Qi, Blood & Body Fluid, The Meridian Systems - twelve regular meridians, commonly used acupoints.

Coverage:

1. TCM knowledge in Traditional postnatal & Infant care – 30 hours

2. TCM Nutrition – 36 hours

3. Safety and Hygiene; Operational procedures - reporting abnormalitis, working with physicians and house cleaning - 24 hours

4. Post-natal & infant massage techniques and sequence; Wrapping - 66 hours

Requirement	Pri 6 or Certificate in relevant subject/basic Chinese Massage/basic TCM Theory
Award Criteria	Trainees must pass Theory and Practical Assessment
Certificate Awarded	Certificate in Post-natal & Infant care
